Oxford is perched at the headwaters of the Tar-Pamlico River Basin.

Everyone living in the Tar-Pamlico River Basin - industries, businesses, farmers, city residents - has a responsibility to help keep its waters and estuaries clean and healthy. The City of Oxford has made a commitment to meet that responsibility by investing in a the new Oxford Wastewater Treatment Plant.
